I have used this for our ConneXions, short-term mission trips. We do this version before they leave and the second part as a piece of the debriefing process. 

Personal Expectations:

(to be completed in 120 minutes; 10 minutes per question and 15 min. to look over answers)

1.       What are you expecting Christ to do in and through you during this time?

           

2.       How are you anticipating that you will benefit your team, your leaders and the people of your destination country?  Be specific for each area.

         

3.       What elements of your character will be the most beneficial to the team?  Which have the most potential to cause harm?  Be specific for positives and potential negatives.

             

4.       How do you feel like God is going to use your giftings? 

                

5.       Describe the level of your personal sense of calling to the international mission field.  What do you imagine your future involvement with international missions will look like?

           

6.       What skills do you have to offer and how to you see your skills being used to benefit the team, your in-country leaders and the people of Guatemala?

           

7.       What is the greatest change that you would like to see in yourself during this time?

            

8.       What is the greatest challenge that you are currently anticipating for this trip?

            

9.       What things do you feel like you will need to rely on your teammates for?

           

10.   What do think that your personal devotional times will be like?

           

11.   What are you expecting the group devotional times to look like?

           

12.   What lesson(s) do you think that you will learn from your in-country leaders/hosts and the people?
