Paradigm change: Lateral Thinking instead of Vertical Thinking
Here is an illustration I used when talking about changing our thinking about leader development from a Information based focus to a transformational based focus. It takes a new way of thinking to build healthy leaders.
See if you can do it. This is a fun exercise and insightful exercise for the ConneXions group. The old way of thinking ( assuming the line have to stay within the box of dots won’t work. Even so the traditional way of raising up healthy leaders (1C + 1 D approach) does not work either. Think beyond the box of dots.
